This role focuses on repairs and maintenance, ensuring key improvement works such as heating and bathroom installations are completed to a high standard while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities In this role, the technical officer will coordinate planned repairs and maintenance works including electrical compliance, cyclical maintenance, and property improvements, while working closely with Estates Management and Legal Services to address non-compliance. You will also manage scheduling exceptions, respond to stakeholder queries, and support solutions to operational challenges. Skills and Experience The successful candidate for the technical officer position will demonstrate experience within housing repairs and maintenance or compliance environments. You should be confident interpreting regulations, managing competing priorities, and communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Accountabilities As a technical officer, you will ensure the secure handling of sensitive information, provide technical advice to support repairs and maintenance delivery, and manage day-to-day operational issues. You will also play a key role in resolving escalated matters and ensuring services align with policy and guidelines. General Responsibilities The technical officer will work in line with organisational policies, promote health and safety best practices, and support equality and diversity across the service. Maintaining high standards of work quality and completing all required training will be expected.
