The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Technology Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by delivering high-quality teaching across KS3 and KS4 in Design & Technology, Art, and Food Technology. The successful candidate will help students develop vocational and life skills essential for their future, with a strong emphasis on practical learning and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across Design & Technology, Art, and Food Technology to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Deliver a curriculum that balances technical knowledge with practical application, fostering students' creativity and problem-solving abilities.
• Embed vocational and life skills within lessons to provide meaningful, real-world learning experiences that prepare students for future careers and independent living.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
• Identify and support students with additional needs, including those exhibiting challenging behaviour and those with diagnosed or undiagnosed Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential for an outstanding candidate.
• Proven experience teaching Design & Technology, Art, and Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Strong classroom behaviour management skills with the ability to support students who may present challenging behaviours.
• Experience working with students with SEN, including those with diagnosed or undiagnosed needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
