Temp Removals HGV Driver

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to work within the Removals and Relocation sector, representing our clients in London.

As an agency-supplied driver, you’ll be expected to deliver high standards of service and professionalism, while maintaining flexibility with start times and locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle to safely transport household or commercial goods to and from designated locations.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of furniture and goods, including heavy lifting.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner on-site.
• Work as part of a removals crew when required, supporting porters and team leaders.
• Follow route and time schedules provided by the transport office.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months of recent HGV Class 2 driving experience (removals experience desirable)
• Physically fit – the role includes heavy lifting and manual handling
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible with working hours, including occasional potential overnight stays and weekends

Pay and Benefits

• £15.00–£18.00 per hour PAYE
• Weekly pay through the agency
