Temporary Accountant

An exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join a manufacturing business based in Southampton. This temporary role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and finance within the manufacturing sector.

Description

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations in the manufacturing department.
• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial reports.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing budget costs to actual costs.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team to identify areas for financial improvement.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and assist with other finance related tasks.
• Support external auditors by providing accurate information and answering questions.

Profile

A successful Accountant should have:

• Ideally be working towards professional qualifications or be qualified by experience
• Experience in a similar accountancy role
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Be able to work in the office full time
