Job Description - Temporary Administrator

The Company:

Our client is a not-for-profit training provider with a strong reputation in the automotive sector. With 60 staff, they deliver high-quality training nationwide and hold ISO, Matrix, and IIP accreditations. Their culture is professional, supportive, and team-focused, with an emphasis on staff development and learner success.

The Job:

We are seeking an Administrator to join the team on a maternity cover basis (12–18 months). This is a varied and dynamic role where you’ll be a key point of contact for employers, learners, suppliers, and prospective businesses. You’ll provide vital administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of the academy while building your own skills in administration, IT, customer service, and business support.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the academy by managing your own tasks and assisting the wider team.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist the Business Development team during recruitment drives (posting adverts, shortlisting, maintaining trackers and CRMs).
  • Manage filing and archiving systems.
  • Cover reception duties when required.
  • Support with planning and attending meetings.
  • Undertake agreed training and development to enhance your skills.

The Person:

Our client is looking for someone with:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to manage workload effectively.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 3/C in English and Maths.

Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience using CRMs (e.g., eSign Up, PICs, Mondays).
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Salary:

£24,000 per annum

The Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (1-hour lunch).

Full-time, maternity cover (12–18 months).
