Job Description - Temporary Credit Controller

Start Date: Mid- August 2025

Location: Central London

Hours: 9am-5pm

Duration: 4 months

Hourly rate: £19.23- £21.98

Working Model: Hybrid, 3 days on-site

We are looking for a temporary Credit Controller to join a lively office in Central London! This company is a rapidly growing team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to sharing their knowledge. This role will be working closely with their small finance team and providing support to the wider team when required!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales invoices for the company; check accuracy, confirm send out dates, maintain a log of all invoices and upload them to relevant client portals.
  • Apply correct VAT codes and manage international invoices.
  • Perform weekly cross-checks of bookings and invoices to ensure all placements are invoiced and reconcile Core invoices to Xero records.
  • Follow up overdue invoices via phone and escalation notices, characterising clients by risk profile.
  • Download and review bank statements, investigating any discrepancies and resolving short payments.
  • Prepare weekly debt reports displaying the total outstanding per client.
  • Create customer accounts in Xero and perform credit checks on new clients using Creditsafe and Experian.
  • Liaise regularly with the sales team to ensure all client records are up to date.
  • Ensure all payments are received and allocated to customer debt accounts before month-end.
  • Provide support to the accounting team when required.
