Job Description - Temporary Finance Assistant

Grafton Banks Finance is delighted to be supporting a well-established, commercially focused business based in the Eastbourne area in their search for a Finance Assistant to join on an initial temporary basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will provide support across a range of purchase ledger and finance administration activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing high volumes of invoices and credit notes

  • Reviewing the purchase ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Preparing and processing payments on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis

  • Performing purchase ledger and bank reconciliations

  • Monitoring the finance inbox and handling invoice-related queries

  • Assisting with ad hoc finance projects as required

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Available to start immediately (May 2025)

  • Able to commute to the office daily

  • Previous experience in finance administration or a similar accounts-based role

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • AAT qualification (desirable but not essential)
