Contract: Temporary, at least until the end of this half term
Hours: Full-time (5 days per week) - flexibility for 4 days per week may be considered for the right candidate

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Grammar School in Wirral for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join the school on a temporary basis with immediate effect. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong finance administration skills who can work accurately under pressure and contribute to the smooth running of our finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase invoices for payment in line with Financial Procedures.
• Raise weekly payments for outstanding creditors.
• Post bank receipts, direct debits, and direct payments to the finance system.
• Issue and process sales invoices, ensuring timely receipt of outstanding payments.
• Balance and post all corporate card payments on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile all bank accounts each month.
• Maintain and reconcile petty cash on a weekly basis.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a finance administration role.
• Strong organisational and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience with PS Financials (Iris system) would be an advantage.
• Confident IT skills, including Excel and financial software.
