Job Description - Temporary Office Administrator / Receptionist

Job Title: Office Administrator / Receptionist
Location: Malton
Salary: £13.51 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am till 5:00 pm

Are you a confident, friendly and organised professional with experience in care home administration? We’re working with a reputable care home in Malton that prides itself on providing a warm, welcoming and compassionate environment for its residents. We are currently looking for an Office Administrator / Receptionist to be the friendly face of the home and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities of Office Administrator / Receptionist:
  • Greet visitors and create a welcoming experience
  • Conduct guided tours of the care home and demonstration suite
  • Answer inbound phone calls and direct enquiries appropriately
  • Schedule and coordinate visitor appointments and tours
  • Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with general administrative tasks (filing, data entry, document prep)
  • Maintain an organised environment and report maintenance issues if required
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, confidentiality and safeguarding policies

Experience required:
  • Previous experience in a care home setting as an administrator or receptionist
  • Current and valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
  • Confident, professional and approachable manner
  • Well presented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Immediately available or short notice period
