Hourly Rate: Up to 14.43 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, term time only (flexibility available for the right candidate)

We are currently seeking a Temporary to Permanent Finance Officer to join a passionate and supportive team dedicated to making a difference in students' lives. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role within a welcoming educational environment.

The Role:

As Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the school. Reporting to the Business Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the Finance Assistant and supporting financial operations
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies
• Monthly reconciliations and VAT claims
• Budget monitoring and reporting
• Managing the debtor report and supporting year-end accounts
• Overseeing BACS payments, school inventory, and financial returns
• Liaising with external agencies and stakeholders

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• ACCA or AAT qualification would be desirable however the client will consider candidates qualified by experience
• Strong understanding of financial procedures and regulations
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Experience in educational finance is desirable but not essential
