Job Description - Temporary to Permanent Office Coordinator

JOB TITLE: Temporary to Permanent Office Coordinator

LOCATION: Taunton

HOURLY RATE: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (DOE)

HOURS: Monday to Friday (Core hours 9am - 5pm, hours may be flexible for the right candidate

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Office Coordinator to join a close-knit and long-standing team working or a well-established construction company based in Taunton. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative experience and a solid understanding of basic accounting functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role and is looking for a temporary to permanent position starting immediately.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage email inboxes and handle incoming calls with professionalism
* Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date records
* Assist with clerical duties including filing, photocopying, and document organisation
* Support project estimates, tenders, and pre-qualification questionnaires
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation
* Ensure compliance with insurance and vehicle fleet requirements
* Maintain training records and support HSE compliance
* Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting documents
* Process invoices, manage ledgers, and reconcile accounts
* Maintain financial records using accounting software
* Communicate with suppliers and clients to resolve queries
* Support audits and ad-hoc finance tasks

KEY SKILLS:
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Highly organised with strong multitasking abilities
* Professional, team-oriented, and commercially aware
* Proficient in accounting software and Excel
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Positive, resilient, and motivated attitude
