Job Title – Tenancy Enforcement Officer

Location – Greenwich, London

Contract – Temporary (Ongoing)

Hours – Full-time, 36 hours per week
Role summary –

We are currently recruiting for a Tenancy Enforcement Officer on behalf of a local authority in Greenwich. This is an exciting opportunity for a housing professional to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused front-line tenancy enforcement service. The role focuses on estate presence, enforcement of tenancy conditions, and dealing with anti-social behaviour to promote peaceful enjoyment for all residents.

Salary – £23.29 LTD per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage tenancy and neighbourhood issues for a designated patch of dwellings.
• Provide proactive estate presence and inspect housing land regularly.
• Meet all new tenants to promote services and explain tenancy responsibilities.
• Liaise with external agencies and RSLs to coordinate services and resolve issues.
• Identify and support vulnerable residents, ensuring referrals are made as appropriate.
• Handle cases of antisocial behaviour, hate crime, and domestic abuse robustly and sensitively.
• Take prompt enforcement action, including serving Fixed Penalty Notices.
• Maintain strong multi-agency partnerships to promote safer communities.
• Attend court proceedings and represent the council in tenancy-related legal matters.
• Maintain accurate records, provide performance data, and respond to enquiries or complaints.

Requirements:

• Experience in tenancy enforcement or housing management within a local authority or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of tenancy legislation and enforcement processes.
• Ability to handle sensitive cases such as ASB, hate crime, and domestic violence.
• Confident in estate inspection duties and engaging with residents.
• Excellent partnership working and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable due to estate visits.
