Test Lead

Test Lead - Electricity Transmission
Location: Hybrid (Remote / Warwick - 1 day per week on-site preferred)
Start Date: ASAP (May 2025 preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee testing activities across two major projects in the electricity transmission sector. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact programme focused on critical infrastructure, working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement test strategies and plans aligned with project objectives.

Test Execution: Design and execute test cases across functional, regression, and performance testing domains.
*

Defect Management: Identify and manage defects using tools such as Atlassian JIRA. Liaise with developers and third parties to ensure timely resolution.
*

Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear updates on test progress, results, and risks to technical and business stakeholders. Deliver regular test dashboards and reports.
*

Test Environment Oversight: Ensure proper setup and maintenance of test environments.
*

Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate potential testing risks.
*

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and methodology.

Skills and Experience Required

*

Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and test management.
*

Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including SIT and UAT.
*

Hands-on experience with test tools (preferably Atlassian JIRA).
*

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
*

Proven ability to deliver in high-pressure, multi-project environments.
*

Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
*

Pragmatic and delivery-focused mindset.
