Job Description - TIG Welder

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected engineering manufacturer in Tewkesbury that specialises in the design and build of bespoke aqueous cleaning systems for industrial applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TIG Welder with a passion for precision and quality to join a close-knit production team. The role involves fabricating pipework used to transport fluids within complex, custom-built machinery, using high-grade stainless steels.

Key Responsibilities:

TIG welding of 304 and 316 stainless steel pipework
Reading and working from detailed technical and engineering drawings
Fabricating and fitting pipe runs between stainless steel tanks and process chambers
Collaborating closely with the Production Foreman and Head of Design to ensure build accuracy
Adhering to safe working practices and maintaining a clean, organised workspace
Performing quality checks to ensure all welds and assemblies meet specification and safety standards

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in TIG welding stainless steel, ideally in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
Comfortable working with fine tolerances and pipework assemblies
Strong interpretation skills of engineering drawings and schematics
A team player with excellent communication and reliability
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality
Must be prepared to complete a practical welding test as part of the selection process
