Trades Operative

• Salary: £14.62 - £15.85 PAYE per hour
• Location: Leicester
• Job Type: Full-time, with potential for temp to perm after 13 weeks

This role offers the opportunity to start each day from home and travel to various locations within the city to carry out maintenance tasks, with all necessary tools and a vehicle provided.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Start the day from home, travelling to the first job by 8am using a council-provided vehicle equipped with all necessary building materials and electrical plant.
• Carry out various maintenance tasks throughout the city, including carpentry, plastering, roofing, and ground working.
• Utilise a work mobile phone to receive and manage job allocations from the Works Planning team.
• Typically finish work at 4pm from Monday to Thursday and at 3.30pm on Friday, allowing for personal time in the evenings.
• Occasionally work overtime in the evenings and weekends, with ample notice provided.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Full valid driving licence.
• Proven experience in the carpentry, plastering, roofing, or ground working industry.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public and colleagues.
