Trainee Setter - Nights

Pro-Found Recruitment are looking to recruit a Trainee Setters for our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Denby near Ripley. This is a great opportunity for applicants in a Production/Manufacturing background wanting to train as a Setter.

Trainee Setter Hours:

• Static Nights 6pm - 6am on a 4 on 4 off rotation

Trainee Setter Pay:

• Nights rate: £14.08 per hour to start plus £21.12 per hour for overtime
  

The job roles and responsibilities of the Trainee Setter include:

• Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
• Quality inspection
• Heavy lifting/pulling/pushing up to 25KG
• Packing and wrapping UPVC profiles
• Labelling profiles
• Loading profiles
• General warehouse duties
• Training to run the machinery, including feeding in, slitting and packing.

Key skills Required:

• Ability to problem solve
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication and listening skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to self-motivate
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Knowledge Required:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially the uPVC industry would be beneficial but not essential
• Requires an understanding of the entire production process

Experience

• Previous experience of working in manufacturing is essential
• A strong Production background is essential
