Job Description - TRANSPORT ADMINISTRATOR - GATEHOUSE CONTROLLER DAYS

?? Gatehouse Administrator – Join Our Dynamic Logistics Team! ??
?? Location: Tamworth
?? Contract Type: Full-time
?? Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off
?? Salary: £26,666.64 per annum DAYS
? Holiday: 23.5 days annual leave
?? Shift Details:
  • Days Fixed: 6am–6pm (1hrs Lunch)
  • Fixed pattern (3 on/3 off)
??? Key Responsibilities:
Gatehouse Duties:
  • Manage trailer movements using our Yard Management System
  • Coordinate with drivers, shunters, warehouse staff, and the transport office
  • Maintain clear radio communication and accurate system updates
Transport Admin Duties:
  • Despatch and debrief drivers using internal IT systems
  • Prepare driver boxes and resolve transport-related issues
  • Liaise with on-site, customer service, and planning teams
? What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous admin experience (essential)
  • Transport or logistics background (preferred)
  • Security experience (a bonus for gatehouse roles)
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and transport applications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, reliable work ethic
