Description

• Planning and coordinating daily transport operations for national and regional deliveries
• Managing driver schedules, vehicle routing, and load planning
• Liaising with internal teams, external hauliers, and customers to resolve delivery queries
• Monitoring fleet performance and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
• Handling transport documentation and updating TMS systems
• Supporting the Transport Manager in delivering KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives

Profile

• Prior experience in a transport or logistics coordination role, ideally within a high-volume environment
• Working knowledge of UK and EU transport legislation (e.g., WTD, Tachographs)
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proficiency with transport management systems (e.g., Mandata, Microlise, or similar)
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and solve problems on the move
• Flexibility for shift work, including occasional weekends
