Transport Operations and Planning Manager

Hourly Rate: £500 - £600 per day (umbrella)

Hours: Full time

Venn Group are currently working with an organisation based in East Yorkshire to recruit a Transport Operations and Planning Manager on a 6-month contract.

Main duties of the job:

• Playing a critical leadership role in designing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality transport operations across the region
• Leading on fare and ticketing strategy, integrated multi-modal operations, customer service improvements, and data-led planning to ensure efficient and accessible public transport aligned with the Local Transport Plan and wider regional ambitions
• Shaping a public transport system that is inclusive, digitally enabled, future-proofed, and responsive to the needs of communities across the region

Essential Experience:

• Proven track record in transport operations, project delivery, or concessionary scheme management within a public or private sector organisation
• Significant experience developing and implementing integrated ticketing, smart fare systems, or digital customer tools
• Strong background in data-led decision-making, using modelling, analytics, and customer insight to drive operational improvements
• Budget management experience, including commissioning and managing third-party suppliers and consultants
