Transport Planner

We're recruiting for a Transport Planner to support Oxfordshire County Council's Movement and Place Strategies. This is a great opportunity to shape transport policy and public realm improvements across the county.

Rate: £300/day (negotiable)

IR35: Inside IR35

Contract: 6 months+

Location: County Hall, Oxford - 2 days/week on site, flexible working

Role Overview:

• Provide technical expertise and review work across the team
• Lead on Movement and Place Strategies and transport policy development
• Use AutoCAD, GIS and other tools to support strategy delivery
• Promote OCC's work across media and internal channels

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build relationships across the Council and with external partners
• Prepare reports and briefings for senior stakeholders and elected members
• Manage consultations and engagement activities
• Strategic Development:
• Monitor and report on strategic outcomes
• Support development of active travel, mobility hubs and public transport proposals
• Contribute to funding bids and strategic project planning
