Ukrainian-speaking Teaching Assistant

Are you fluent in Ukrainian and passionate about helping children thrive in the classroom? We are currently recruiting for a Ukrainian-speaking Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil who is new to English, supporting them to access learning and settle into school life.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey, helping them overcome language barriers and build confidence in a nurturing environment.

?? The Role:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Ukrainian-speaking pupil with limited or no English
• Assisting with classroom tasks, translating instructions, and supporting understanding
• Helping the pupil engage with learning activities and develop social skills
• Working closely with the class teacher and EAL coordinator to track progress and adapt support

? The Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in Ukrainian and English (spoken and written)
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
• A patient, empathetic, and culturally sensitive approach
• A relevant TA qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
