Are you a recent university graduate looking to start a rewarding career in education? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive secondary school environment?

We are currently recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a well-regarded secondary school in the Rochdale area, starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your classroom experience, support students' learning, and work closely with experienced teachers and pastoral staff. You will be assisting across a range of subjects and year groups, supporting students with varying needs, including those who may require additional help with behaviour or engagement.

• Provide classroom and small group support across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Support pupils' academic progress, behaviour, and well-being

• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

• Help create a positive and focused learning environment

• Be a role model for students, encouraging high standards of behaviour and effort

• A university degree (any discipline) - essential

• Passion for working in education and making a difference

• Confidence in working with secondary-aged pupils

• Comfortable managing or supporting challenging behaviours when required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to working full-time (Monday-Friday), term-time only

• Valuable classroom experience ahead of teacher training or further study
