VAN DRIVER

Shift: WORKIN MONDAY - FRIDAY: 05.30 - 07.00 STARTS

Pay Rate: £12.21 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to join our well-established client based in Sandy. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great benefits and room to grow and progress.

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a VAN driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Operate and drive various 3.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills:

As a Van driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category B vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Must have good knowledge of UK road network
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial

Training:

• Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
