Job Description - Van Driver Cleansing

Pertemps are currently recruiting for van drivers for our public sector client to be based in the Edinburgh area supporting a busy waste and cleansing department.

Location: Edinburgh East
Hours of Work: 4 days on 4 days off 06.00-17.02 with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £13.48 - £15.08 per hour
Temporary ongoing work
Immediate start

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate and maintain a cleansing department van.
Lead a small team of operatives to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Conduct street cleansing, litter collection, and waste management duties.
Allocate tasks to team members effectively.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Provide excellent service to the community, representing the department with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

A full UK driving licence
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Good organisational and time management abilities.
Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
