VAT Accountant

Are you looking for a 12-month contract, in a very large business, and in a position which can allow you to develop a new skillset within VAT?

Your new company is a global firm operating within the logistics sector, and with operations across the world including the US, Europe and Asia. You will join a very successful finance team, based in West London – and this should be an exciting contract allowing you to develop. Whilst the role will be looking into VAT, the hiring manager is keen to find someone from a general finance background who is looking to develop.

Responsibilities:
As a VAT Accountant, you will…

• Ensure reconciliations of VAT accounts are completed and submitted ready for manager review
• Post to relevant journals for VAT return finalisation
• Respond to internal queries around various areas relating to VAT
• Analyse transactions to make sure correct VAT treatment has been applied

Requirements:
As a VAT Accountant, you will need…

• Financial background (perhaps as a Finance Analyst, or Management Accountant)
• Very strong Excel skills
• Experience with Data Analysis
• Part-Qualified within relevant field (ACA/ACCA) or AAT Qualified
