This role is for a VAT Manager for a leading Bristol based organisation. The candidate will be responsible for managing the VAT affairs of the business and providing expert advice to the wider business.

Description

• Managing the VAT affairs of the organisation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Providing expert VAT advice to the wider Tax department and stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing VAT strategies to optimise the organisation's tax position.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure understanding and correct application of VAT.
• Staying abreast of changes in VAT legislation and assessing the potential impact on the business.
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and other necessary documentation.
• Managing relationships with external advisers and authorities.
• Leading and mentoring junior members of the Tax department.

Profile

A successful VAT Manager should have:

• A professional qualification in Tax or Accounting.
• Proven experience in a similar VAT role within Practice or inhouse environment
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• A strategic approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
