This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong whole-vehicle engineering knowledge to influence and develop future vehicle architectures. This role operates on a hybrid model , with the team attending the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays , plus additional days when required. A typical week will involve more than 50% onsite presence . The Opportunity In this role, you will be responsible for driving the engineering integration process across multiple vehicle architectures. You will take the lead in defining vehicle technical specifications and attributes, resolving complex multifunctional engineering issues, and ensuring an optimal balance of requirements across systems. You will also analyse industry trends, competitor technologies, and emerging innovations to help shape future product strategy. This position also involves coaching and supporting more junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage vehicle-level technical specifications and attribute requirements Lead complex engineering integration activities across multifunctional teams Resolve technical issues by balancing competing system-level requirements Analyse competitor products and emerging technologies to inform future strategy Coach, mentor, and review work from lower-level engineers Support the delivery of robust engineering solutions within demanding project timelines Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross-functional vehicle systems Enthusiasm for vehicles and their development Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical information Good IT literacy eg. ability to create and manage presentations and spreadsheets Full UK driving licence Desirable: Previous experience of whole vehicle development and validation Previous experience of problem-solving tools, eg.
