Vehicle Technician

• Annual Salary: £17.60 per hour

• Job Type: Full-time, temporary with the chance to go perm for the right candidate.

Join our Leicester based client as a Vehicle Technician, where you will be instrumental in maintaining the their fleet of vehicles, plant, and equipment. This role involves inspection, servicing, test preparation, fault diagnosis, and repair, ensuring high standards of functionality and safety.

• Carry out vehicle, plant, and equipment inspections, servicing, test preparations, fault diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
• Interpret information from drivers and users of plant and equipment, provide actionable advice
• Work closely with drivers, other technicians, and vehicle manufacturers to ensure optimal vehicle performance and maintenance.

• Mandatory MOT Tester Certificate.
• Health & safety training relevant to a vehicle maintenance workshop environment.
• Proficient in using Workshop ICT systems, vehicle diagnostics, and electronic job cards.
• Skilled in tracing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle, plant, and equipment faults, including the identification of necessary parts and equipment.
• Ability to accurately record work done and complete job sheets.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply trade tools and methods safely.
• Full current driving licence
• Experience in servicing vehicles, plant, and equipment including fault diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
