VMware Horizon Specialist (Omnissa)

A leading public sector programme is seeking a VMware Horizon Specialist to support the upgrade of its virtual desktop infrastructure to the latest Omnissa Horizon version. This position will involve planning, testing, and executing upgrades of VMware Horizon components, VDI migrations to Windows 11, and applying CIS Level 2 security hardening in a highly secure, offline environment.

Essential Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Horizon / Omnissa Horizon upgrades
• Solid background in vCenter, ESXi, and virtual desktop (VDI) deployments
• Proven experience with AppVolumes, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), and UAGs
• Comfortable upgrading VDI clients to Windows 11 and deploying Office 365
• Knowledge of CIS Level 2 security hardening for Windows and VMware environments
• Ability to document upgrade processes, configurations, and deliver full handover
