Warehouse Operative

GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Evesham for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their growing and successful team on a fixed term contract of up to 18 months.

This position is working Monday - Friday 07:00am - 17:00pm offering £13p/h.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who can demonstrate previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role. You must be physically fit and able to lift/move stock as required.

Due to the location, you must drive and have your own transport to be considered for this role.

With a busy summer ahead, this position can start the successful candidate with immediate effect.

Warehouse Operative main duties:

• Picking & Packing: Accurately pick and prepare assembly kits, weld kits, and customer sales orders in line with company procedures.
• Goods In: Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring correct stock levels and recording any discrepancies.
• Stock Control: Assist in stock checks, inventory management, and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• General Warehouse Duties: Assist with loading/unloading deliveries, replenishing stock, and supporting the wider team as needed.

Warehouse Operative desired skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role preferred
• Good attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Physically fit and able to lift/move stock as required.
• Basic IT skills for stock management systems (preferred but not essential).
• Forklift license (desirable but not essential - training can be provided).
• A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
