Job Description - Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role:Our client, a well-established and growing company in the industrial / logistic sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead their warehouse operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in warehousing to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to meet daily targets and deadlines.
Coordinate all daily warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure efficiency across all warehouse functions.
Maintain accurate stock control and inventory levels, completing regular stock audits.
Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and company policies are strictly adhered to.
Liaise with transport, customer service, and purchasing departments to coordinate logistics.
Handle and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the warehouse, such as damaged goods or inventory inaccuracies.
Operate FLT (Forklift Truck) equipment safely and effectively as required.
Train and onboard new staff, ensuring all team members are properly supported and informed.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor inventory, track performance, and report on KPIs.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Valid FLT License (Counterbalance or Reach – specify if required)
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role (minimum 2 years preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in warehouse systems, procedures, and health & safety regulations
Good IT skills, including experience with WMS or stock control software
Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks as required
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
