Job Description - Welder/ Fabricator

Pertemps Bristol is recruiting for a Fabricator / Welder. This is a hands-on role involving the fabrication of steel components for a range of security products including gates and and barriers for a company based in Nailsea, BS49.

£15-£17 per hour, DOE
Monday to Friday role, 8am-5pm ( 37.5 hours per week )
Asap start
Based in Nailsea, BS48
2-3 week contract

Job responsibilities:

Full production of metal fabrication– measuring, cutting, folding, welding, fitting, etc.
General assembly work
Fabrication of steel sheet and sections
Metalwork, i.e. cutting and folding metal to create components.
Heavy lifting of pieces for assembly
Using own initiative to complete off-spec jobs, e.g. fixing damaged metal work.
Liaise with other fabricators/staff to ensure optimum production efficiency and effectiveness are achieved.
Use of appropriate handheld and powered tools and equipment to carry out the tasks set.
Maintain a clean and orderly workplace environment compatible with an open workshop facility

Skills and requirements:

MIG welding Experience ( essential )
Strong sheet metal fabrication experience
Using own initiative to complete off spec jobs
Accurate measurement skills
Attention to detail and good hand/eye co-ordination to achieve high quality work
Reliability, good communication skills and teamwork ability
Comfortable with heavy lifting
Driving License ( desireable )
