Windows Infrastructure Engineer - Banking

Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer sought by leading investment bank based in the city of London.

**Inside IR35 - 2 days a week on site**

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Windows Infrastructure Engineer to manage, support, and improve our Windows-based systems.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and support Windows Server environments (2012-2022).

* Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

* Support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).

* Automate tasks using PowerShell.

* Monitor system performance and apply updates/patches.

* Implement backups and disaster recovery processes.

* Support hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, O365).

* Provide 2nd/3rd line infrastructure support.

Requirements: Essential:

* 5+ years in Windows infrastructure or systems engineering.

* Strong skills in AD, GPO, and Windows Server.

* PowerShell scripting experience.

* Virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).

* Good understanding of networking basics.

* Background in banking/financial services

Desirable:

* Azure, Office 365, Intune experience.

* Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, AZ-104).

* Experience with SCCM, monitoring tools, ITIL practices.
