Job Description - Work Experience Coordinator

  • Full-time (36 hours per week)
  • Location: West London

The Work Experience Coordinator is responsible for identifying new work experience opportunities with employers to ensure that the theoretical elements of courses are covered. This role involves collating information on existing work experience placements and supporting course teams in preparing students for their work experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Identify and secure new work experience opportunities with employers, ensuring alignment with course requirements.
  • Maintain a central database of existing work experience placements.
  • Liaise with potential and current work experience providers, academic managers, teaching staff, and students to facilitate effective work experience arrangements.
  • Support course teams in preparing students for work experience, including briefing sessions and documentation.
  • Travel occasionally to other college campuses and employers' premises as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good standard of general education (minimum GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years' administrative experience in a busy, customer-focused environment.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and experience with databases/systems.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Safeguarding in education.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, work flexibly, and use own initiative.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for the role.
