Recycling Solutions (Commercial Waste Only)

(own transport needed due to location)

Pay rate: £12.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm, Every Other Saturday 6:00am – 12:00pm

Contract Type: Temp to Perm (via newstaff – Permanent after 3-month probation)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Operative to join a fast-paced, commercial recycling business – no household waste involved. This is a hands-on role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, so you must be comfortable and prepared for physical outdoor work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking in and weighing lorries upon arrival and departure
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized yard environment
• Overseeing the movement and storage of recyclable materials
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
• General housekeeping and yard upkeep duties

Requirements:

• Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (essential)
• Previous experience within a similar environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead by example and ensure team productivity
• Comfortable working in an outdoor environment, rain or shine
