Year 1 teacher

We are currently recruiting a year 1 teacher for one of our mainstream primary schools in the North Leeds area from September 2025. This is initially for 2 terms with a view of a direct contract at Easter 2026.

The Role:

As a year 1 teacher you will be responsible for delivering a rich and engaging curriculum to the class, ensuring that every child is supported and challenged to reach their full potential. You will be working collaboratively with the other year 1 teacher and contributing to the wider community maintaining high expectations throughout school.

As a Year 1 Teacher You Must:

Be a qualified teacher with QTS (ECT's welcome to apply)

Have good knowledge of the key stage 1 curriculum

Have phonics experience (Read,Write,Inc. desirable)

Have excellent classroom management skills

Demonstrate creativity, energy and a reflective approach to teaching and learning

You will also need a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
