Year 1 Teacher Full Time

We are seeking a full-time Year 1 Teacher to join a primary school in Wakefield, starting April and continuing until December. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on children's learning and development in a nurturing environment.

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive
• Support pupils' early literacy, numeracy, and social skills development
• Use phonics-based approaches to support reading and writing progress
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and parents to support individual needs
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
• Implement effective classroom behaviour management strategies

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Year 1 or KS1 (preferred)
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics teaching
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A creative, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching
