Year 2 Teacher - Supportive & Community-Driven Primary School - Islington

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a thriving, two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Islington to recruit an exceptional Year 2 Teacher. This school has a strong sense of community and is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where both staff and students thrive.

• Position: Year 2 Class Teacher
• Start Date: Immediate start until July 2025
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 am - 3:45 pm
• Daily Rate: £198 - £257 per day PAYE (MPS 1-6)
• Contract Type:Long-term placement with potential for extension
• Curriculum Focus: KS1 curriculum with a strong emphasis on Phonics (Read Write Inc), literacy, numeracy, and child-centered learning

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching KS1, ideally in Year 2
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum, early reading, and phonics (Read Write Inc experience preferred)
• Passionate about child development, engagement, and raising attainment
• Ability to differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL
• Excellent classroom management skills and a positive, nurturing approach to teaching
• A team player who is collaborative, adaptable, and enthusiastic
