Skills & Qualities of a Successful Year 2 ECT

• Strong understanding of Key Stage 1 curriculum (support provided where needed)
• Knowledge and experience of teaching phonics (Letters and Sounds desirable)
• Passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment
• Eager to contribute to a collaborative teaching team
• Reflective, open to feedback, and keen to grow through CPD
• Committed to inclusive practice and supporting all learners

Compliance Essentials

• UK QTS (or expected by September 2025)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
• Professional references from placements and/or previous employment
