Year 2 Teaching Assistant Newton Le Willows

Your new role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 in a fantastic school in Newton Le Willows. You will provide support in the classroom and around the school. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in a young learner's life by providing consistent, individualised support in a nurturing environment. The role is ongoing and needs someone with previous Key Stage 1 experience who has an understanding of phonics.

Key duties will include:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping the child access learning and develop key skills
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies and behaviour plans
• Support the child's emotional, social, and academic development
• Adapt classroom materials and activities to meet the child's individual needs
• Monitor and record progress, contributing to regular reviews
• Encourage independence and confidence in learning and social situations
• Support in the classroom and around the school
  
  What you'll need to succeed
• Experience working within Key Stage 1
• Experience working with children
• Knowledge of Phonics
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification desirable
• Full right to work in the UK
• DBS
