Year 5 1:1 TA

We are seeking a committed and adaptable 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with additional needs, in a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Brent.
This is a long-term position focused on building a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil-offering consistency, emotional support, and encouragement throughout the school day.

The Role Includes:

• Supporting a Year 5 pupil on a 1:1 basis within and outside the classroom.
• Using a practical and active approach to help with focus, engagement, and emotional regulation.
• Helping the child to access learning in a way that suits their individual style.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

• Confident in building positive relationships with pupils who need consistency.
• Flexible, patient, and understanding of SEN needs.
• A team player who's also able to take initiative and work independently.
• Experience supporting children 1:1 in a school or alternative provision.
