About the Role - Year 5 Teacher / KS2 Teacher

This is a full-time position for a skilled KS2 Teacher who can confidently take on full classroom responsibilities in a supportive, team-oriented setting. The school is looking for a passionate and organised Year 5 Teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils, deliver high-quality lessons, and contribute to the collaborative planning and assessment process.

You'll be working alongside another experienced Year 5 Teacher, sharing ideas and resources to ensure engaging and creative teaching across the year group.

Key Responsibilities - KS2 Teacher / Year 5 Teacher:

• Teach a Year 5 class following the National Curriculum
• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons as a committed Year 5 Teacher
• Work collaboratively with your parallel KS2 Teacher to share planning and best practice
• Monitor and support pupil progress across a range of abilities
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Engage with parents and carers effectively to support learning

This KS2 Teacher role is ideal for those with strong behaviour management, creativity in teaching, and a clear understanding of age-related expectations in Year 5.

The Ideal Year 5 Teacher / KS2 Teacher Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have prior experience as a Year 5 Teacher or KS2 Teacher
• Be confident planning and delivering the KS2 curriculum
• Bring energy, creativity, and structure to lessons
• Be reflective, organised, and open to feedback
• Show strong communication skills and a positive classroom presence
