Year 5 Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a Year 5 Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic primary school in St Albans, supporting year 5 students whilst also being able to deliver phonic interventions and supporting students on a 1:1 basis/

This is a full time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a primary setting and have SEND experience, has to be available the whole academic year.

The Role:

• Assist children in their learning and growth as a Teaching Assistant
• As a Teaching Assistant you will contribute to creating a safe, supportive & engaging learning environment
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure progress of students is prioritised as a Teaching Assistant
• Work 1:1 with the children with SEND needs to ensure they achieve their developmental milestones

Requirements:

• Available Immediately
• Experience working in a primary school as Teaching Assistant and supporting students with SEND
• Willing to support SEND children as a Teaching Assistant
• MUST have a CHILD ONLY DBS or willing to get one
• Have experience with children in some capacity in the UK where you can provide a reference for
• Live local to St Albans or within a commutable distance
