Year 6 Class Teacher - September 2025

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a thriving independent primary school in Islington, which has recently expanded to include Year 6. With a small class of just five pupils, this role offers a unique opportunity to provide highly personalised teaching in a nurturing environment.

• Year 6 Teacher with the potential to take on Maths Subject Lead responsibilities (Maths specialism preferred but not essential).
• 1-year fixed-term contract, leading to a permanent role.
• Salary up to £52,000 (M1-UPS1) or £198-£283 per day PAYE.
• Start date: September 2025.
• Preference for candidates with independent school experience, but strong Year 6 teachers from all backgrounds will be considered.

? Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant teaching qualification (BA.Ed/PGCE).
? Proven experience in Year 6, with a track record of delivering excellent teaching.
? Strong understanding of Upper KS2 Maths and experience preparing students for 11+ exams (desirable).
? Confident in using data-driven teaching strategies to enhance pupil progress.
? A proactive, adaptable, and engaging approach to teaching.
? Knowledge of the National Curriculum and an awareness of independent school assessments (7+ and 11+ desirable).
? A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
