Reed/LTA are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a 12-month maternity cover position, starting after Easter. This role is based in a charming rural primary school in Preston, ideal for someone who has experience in Key Stage 2 and is passionate about contributing to the educational journey of children at this crucial stage of their development.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
• Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for Key Stage 2 SATs.
• Foster a positive learning environment in the classroom, addressing varied learning needs and styles.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to enhance the teaching practice and educational outcomes for students.
• Engage with parents and guardians to support student progress, including parent-teacher meetings and written reports.
• Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school community and its rural ethos.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment framework.
• Proven ability to create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs.
