Academics is a teaching supply agency working closely with Primary and Secondary schools across South Wales.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for upper Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to a Year 6 class, with a particular focus on raising attainment in literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and structured lessons for Year 6 pupils
• Support pupils in achieving literacy targets and preparing for end-of-year assessments
• Monitor and assess pupil progress
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Collaborate effectively with other teaching staff and leadership teams

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
• Previous experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
• Proven strength in delivering literacy at KS2 level
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Two professional references
