Year End Accountant

Job Advert: Year-End Accountant (3-Month Contract) | £50,000-£65,000 | Hybrid Working
Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced Year-End Accountant to join their finance team on a 3-month contract. This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified professional who can confidently take the accounts from trial balance to final accounts production.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business during its year-end process and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Location: Hybrid (office-based 2-3 days/week)
Salary: £50,000-£65,000 pro rata
Contract Length: 3 months
Start Date: ASAP

• 
  Prepare year-end statutory accounts from trial balance
• 
  Liaise with external auditors and manage audit queries
• 
  Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
• 
  Review and adjust journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
• 
  Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• 
  Assist with tax computations and filing support (where applicable)
• 
  Provide insights and analysis to support the finance team during year-end
• 
  Ensure all reporting deadlines are met in a timely and accurate manner
• 
  Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to gather necessary financial data

• 
  ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• 
  Proven experience in year-end accounting and accounts preparation
• 
  Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
• 
  Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
• 
  Comfortable working independently and hitting the ground running
• 
  Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
