Day-to-day of the role:

• Engage with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) to facilitate their social and educational development.
• Plan and deliver effective support sessions tailored to the unique needs of SEN students in various settings, including schools and community centres.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote the well-being and educational progress of children.
• Implement individualised learning activities that cater to the specific educational and developmental needs of students.
• Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing detailed feedback and actionable suggestions for further development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Youth Worker, specifically with SEN children, or a similar role in education or social care.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of children with diverse learning and developmental needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in varying educational settings.
• Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, education, or a related field are highly desirable.
