Job Description - Account Manager (f/m/x)

ROLE & TEAM

We are currently looking for an Account Manager who will lead and manage our clients relations, portfolio & properties and market engagement in Edinburgh.

Here below are some examples of your core activities:

Client Relationship

  • Personally handle client accounts, including monthly reporting and quarterly catch-ups
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across the UK portfolio
  • Liaise with central departments, acting in the interests of clients
  • Understand client needs, anticipate challenges, and proactively address concerns to ensure overall success for your team and optimum client retention
  • Oversee the end of month accounting process
  • Develop and delivery regular client communications, for example newsletters
  • Delivering the ‘soft side’ of the relationship, for example client lunches, birthday and holiday gifts, or otherwise identifying when and how a relationship can be lubricated

Portfolio & Property Management

  • Working with the Onboarding and Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition into the portfolio and a successful start to the relationship
  • Oversee and drive optimum revenue generation from the portfolio, including booking generation, and ancillary services to both guests and clients
  • Work cross functionally with all departments to ensure the smooth running and quality of each individual property, with an emphasis on proactivity
  • Escalation point for other departments to make critical decisions

Market Engagement

  • Stay abreast of local market trends, competitor activities, and legal and regulatory requirements to advise clients and ensure compliance

What you’ll need to be successful in this role if you have

  • Excellent project management and time management
  • Developed communications skills, empathy, active listening
  • In-depth knowledge on business sector and specifics on local market
  • Self-confidence and ability to delegate tasks
  • IT knowledge of internal software (Airtable, PMS, MS Office)
