Accountant in Training

We are currently working in partnership with a leading Housing Association based in Kent with who are recruiting for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA and have experience working throughout the Social Housing sector. Ensuring that financial accounting processes are completely and effectively within agreed targets, in line with financial delegations Completing the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items on a timely Maintaining the fixed asset registers Supporting the Financial Controller in preparing monthly performance and annual financial Monitoring the effective operation of financial and operational controls and procedures, reporting any issues or concerns immediately to management Ensuring the monthly payroll process is effective, performing appropriate checks, and liaising with colleagues in the People team and Golding’s payroll bureau service to clear errors Assisting with the preparation of regulatory returns Assisting with the preparation and presentation of statutory accounts Experience required in a similar financial accounting position Intermediate Excel skills and preferably knowledge of Open Accounts Fully qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) Hybrid working with 3/4 days from home
